Presenting the VTPA Inaugural Event -Versailles, IN

Since 1929, the sport of pulling has become a national and international pastime. From its humble beginnings of farmers taking their tractors out of the fields and pulling a weighted sled, the sport pulling has come a long way. As is the case in many sports, sometimes the unique heritage of a sport’s beginnings often get overlooked.

In order to preserve our strong and historic pulling heritage, the Vintage Tractor Pulling Association was created. This series features the classic tractors of yesteryear that gave birth to the high-velocity sport of what we know today.

The Vintage Tractor Pulling Association will kick off the 2017-2018 pulling season with it’s inaugural event Friday and Saturday, November 10-11,

2017 at Kev’s Field of Dreams Arena, located in Versailles, IN.    This inaugural VTPA event will include two tracks full of action, encompassing the slow and steady precision pulling Farm Stock Antique Tractors are known for along with the much faster Modified Antique Tractors, along with a few exhibition surprises along the way.

This event will kick off a full season of antique pulling that will include events such as the prestigious VTPA Nationals event to be held at Broadbent Arena in Louisville, KY in March, 2018.  Members of the VTPA will battle it out for a chance at coveted title of “The Baddest Antique Tractor In The World”.  The “Baddest Antique” competition is invitational only for those who members who win qualifying pulls throughout the season.   Whomever is crowned the winner will surely have earned it!
